Originally from Northern California, Christian Ferretti is a Director, DP, and Photographer currently based between Los Angeles and New York. His journey into photography began as an assistant to some of the industry’s most renowned photographers, including Annie Leibovitz, Steven Klein, and Craig McDean, where he honed his craft and developed his signature style.

 

Influenced by his love for ’90s photography and the chiaroscuro lighting of Giallo Italian cinema, Ferretti has developed a distinctive visual language—bold, sensual, and cinematic. His lighting design moves effortlessly across a wide spectrum of aesthetics—from meticulously crafted studio setups to the atmospheric drama of filmic compositions and the raw, unfiltered beauty of natural daylight. His work reveals a deep versatility and a natural fluency in visual storytelling.

From 2014 to 2023, Ferretti shot for Tom Ford, producing photography and video content across all product categories—from fashion and beauty advertising to social campaigns and product imagery. His decade-long collaboration, ending only with Tom Ford’s departure, speaks to his rare ability to evolve with a brand and consistently deliver at the highest level.
